Good afternoon, fellow voicers and non-voicers! I no longer feel sick but my nose has been running like a freight train! Gross.
Today I want to talk about my continuing quest to become as cloud-based as possible. No, I’m not talking about taking flying lessons or joining the cast of the Care Bears. “Cloud-based” means having my resources located on a server as part of a network as opposed to having them stored on my computer at home.
TIP OF THE WEEK: Well, a few things…
Instead of using ACT! to manage my client database, I now use the cloud-based PerformerTrack; a CRM system designed specifically for actors.
To invoice my clients, I now use Invoice Bubble: also cloud-based and it’s free to use!
Instead of using Quicken to manage my finances, I now use Outright: yet another cloud-based system and I can download my bank statements, PayPal account info, and do all kinds of fun stuff.
There are many other cloud-based systems you can use to handle these three tasks, but they work well for me and I strongly recommend them.
